Remembering Heriot-Watt University in your will

Heriot-Watt University has an established reputation for world-class teaching and practical leading-edge research, which has made us one of the top UK universities for business and industry.  Our expertise spans the sciences as well as the globe with our academics and graduates, both past and present, making a world changing impact every day.

A gift in your will to Heriot-Watt University will continue to support us as we transform lives through our world class research, provide improved resources and buildings to enhance the student experience and give the next generation of students the opportunity to study with us.

Legacy gifts are extremely important to the future development of the University.  More information on making a gift to Heriot-Watt in your will can be found below.

Discussing Your Plans

If you are considering leaving a gift to the University in your will, a member of our Development Team will be pleased to talk to you about your wishes and intentions. We are unable to offer legal or financial advice, but we are happy to answer your questions about legacies in general.

A will is very personal, and we understand if you prefer to keep your intentions private. However, if you do wish to let us know about a legacy to the University we will be able to thank you personally and keep you informed about the impact your gift could make.

You can fill in the Legacy Enquiry Form to let us know your intentions. This does not commit you in any way and please be assured that the information you share with us will be treated as stricly confidential.

Before drafting a new will, updating an existing one or making other plans for your estate it is important to consult your legal adviser.
